>> the morning. we will go live to our sole reporter mike pelton. >> this is going to be a hot spot throughout the morning. the two right lanes on southbound to 80 will be closed down for about another three to four hours. they have to clean up some biohazard material. there are blood and body parts on the road. this is all left after a accident. if you concede that the traffic is growing by. this just happened after 3:00 a.m. and driver started calling 911 to let them know that there was a body on the freeway. they found a deceased woman they believe that someone hit her in their vehicle and they're not sure who the driver is or what type of

vehicle hit her. if they're asking anyone with information to call. in the meantime, this is clearly going to cause a lot of problems. there also closing down the on ramp. this is a the right of the up morning commute and this will start causing a lot of delays. >> george is also keeping a back up on that. >> it is affecting the ride in the direction of the trouble but also the headlights are coming around the corner affecting the north bound ride on interstate 280. all this activity is a second northbound commute. this is technically the commute direction. there's more traffic here and there are heading more north and south. this does not mean that it will not back up the southbound area. so far, the

backup is minor about a half a mile. but the northbound ride is starting to slow and it is affecting the traffic. the other hot spot that we are following is here in marin county. >> this is on 1 01 southbound at the edge of a more ran on the south border. this is north of the golden gate bridge where debris from boulders were falling on the roadway. it damaged some cars and also blocked the to right-hand lanes. one person was injured in this. all the lanes have now been reopened and the debris has been cleared. if there is concern that this debris may continue to fall and we may see problems throughout the morning. but right now, it is no longer a hot spot 1 01 southbound. >> we are starting out with mainly clear skies with a little bit of fog. the temperatures are currently in the 40's. later on today

>> and criminal charges have been filed against the woman who lied about being raped on the uc santa cruz campus. the d.a. says, that morgan triplet, is charged with giving false information to police. off triplet claimed that she had been beaten and then sexually assaulted by a stranger on february 17th. she will be arraigned next week in the santa cruz county superior court. >> three connecticut high school students are being accused of sexual assault. police say that to 13 year old girls reported that they were sexually assaulted by three students last month. the suspects joan toribio andedgar gonzales are both

members are accused of breaking the law by interfering with the bidding process for a major construction projects. the city's auditors conducted dozens of interviews and reviewed thousands of the e- mail and phone calls. the auditor alleges that comes to members desley brooks and larry reed directed staff members to use certain contractors for the oakland army base demolition project. that contract was worth $2 million. the council members preferred companies that did not get the deal. both brooks and read denied the allegations. the city auditor intends to turn the findings over to the the eighth and fbi. >> on behalf of the oakland base. i believe that it is unfounded and i was shot to that this happen. i think there was political gains

approach to the golden gate bridge. we are live on the scene with the jackie sissel and wheat you heard the rocks tumbling after that. it looks like it's all cleared up, that was pretty quick. >> they have the lanes closed for about hour-and-a- half an hour 45 minutes but southbound 1 01 ride before the golden gate bridge is shut down but it is back open. it was a crazy scene this morning according to chp. kron450 a.m. boulders from the west side of 1 01 came tumbling down from the hillside. you can see how big they were. at least three cars had it, this is the worst of the three. a mercedes suvs land into one of these large holders. you can see the damage done and how high up on the car if hit. look at how big the boulder must have been. the people inside were slightly hurt and transported to a local hospital. what about an hour after the fact, we still heard boulders and

sliding down the hillside. it was after that when they came back out, caltrans did they cleared the roadway. the question was whose authority was it? chp, up caltrans? the decision was made to reopen the road. as of about 7:00, 6:45 a.m. boulders were still coming down. not on the roadway, but coming down the hillside. i have to imagine caltrans are whoever the authority is has to go out there and inspect the hillside because it is still unstable right now. >> it makes me a little worried, like maybe i will take a far lane. what you think? >> i will just give you my opinion on this but i was standing next to the roadway and boulders kept coming down the hillside. it would be a good idea to get someone up there to look at it. >> as far as many as a

scene and they are waiting for a biohazard company to make its way down here and clean up some remains from that accident. they said there is a lot of blood and there are some human remains as a result of the accident. because of that they cannot open up the two right lanes. they also shut down the seventh street on ramp. because of all this traffic, it is really getting heavy. northbound to 80 has really thick traffic people are looking out their windows trying to figure out what is going on. how much are the backup of southbound to 80, it is really starting to pick up. this is really thick traffic and backs out well beyond what i can see. you probably have a better idea of how far back as those. >> i do, where switching to the traffic maps. we're looking at about a mile long traffic jam in the southbound direction. the concern is that it is going to affect 1 01 north and south on interstate 680.
